Volunteering Opportunities

There are TONS of volunteering opportunities available right here in Murfreesboro.  Every single organization that asks for volunteers needs your help.  An unexhausted list of opportunities is directly below:

• The Greenhouse Ministries
  • I have worked with this organization personally for over two years.  Their mission is very similar to mine, and they are actively providing food, clothing, shelter, and friendship to the poor of Murfreesboro.  They also provide several tutoring classes for the community, including: GED classes, computer literacy classes (I teach these), marriage counseling, parenting classes, Bible classes, budgeting classes, and career advancement classes.  EVERY SINGLE CLASS is taught by a volunteer, so they really need your help.  Even if you aren't interested in teaching a class, you can still volunteer to help out around the building, or help with transporting materials from our warehouse, to the ministry itself, and then out to the community
• Habitat for Humanity
  • This is a global organization whose primary mission is to provide housing to the poor.  Even though they are a global organization, they are very well disbursed.  They probably have volunteering opportunities wherever you are, so I encourage you to seek them out.  If you would like to see the website for Murfreesboro's Habitat branch, click here.
